What first started Sheen?

In May 2007, after being unemployed for four months, I decided to take the unknown journey. Previously I working as a demolition and asbestos removal technician (which was great fun by the way). At this time, I had a vision of owning a busy, well-known, systematized business. However, all I had was £30, in which I borrowed!

My Mission statement

So after buying a carpet cleaning machine from Argos, which was on loan for £20 a month. Yes I know its funny looking back now! I practiced cleaning my own carpets. Little did I actually know, that a Vax didn’t really cut the mustard (from a professional aspect that is). So off I went to try and find some work to at least cover that £20 a month. This was the very start of me finding my feet as an expert in cleaning and restoration. In which I am more than happy to be today.

Along with that, I had zero knowledge or budget to move forward. All that I did have was just a bit of cheap kit, that I mostly picked up for free. Along with a car that a girlfriend at the time bought me. One thing I did have, was passion to make a cleaning company that came with a premium service experience. For my not yet found but soon to be loyal clients.

Then one day something struck my mind. Not only should you be dealt with correctly when hiring a professional, most importantly complete diligence needs to be taken into consideration. After all, you have worked hard for what you’ve got! Most of all, you feel at ease knowing you have picked the right company for the job.

I spent 3 solid years studying, implementing and mastering the skill set required to be an up and running cleaning business. Therefore, it was time to get serious and learn the specialist knowledge that is required for the expert services I now provide for you today.

May 2010 – (Envesca) CIEH Level 3 award in risk assessment principles and practice
December 2010 – (Killgerm) Basic training day on insects at a crime scene and their control
July 2011 – (Agored Cymru) Level 2 Preparing to work at and clean a trauma scene

September 2014 – (Nu-Life Stone Care) Stone floor restoration & maintenance
July 2015 – (LTT Leather Care) Leather I.D. & cleaning, Repairs, scratches & Ink removal, colour mixing & panel re-colouring, pigment restoration
March 2018 – (Ultima Environmental) Waste Procedures, Control, Storage, Handling and Environmental Guidelines
September 2020 – (Tile Boutique) Stone floor renovation, polishing and grinding
Febuary 2021 – (Texatherm) Advanced Technician Training in Carpet Cleaning
September 2021 – (Texatherm) Upholstery & Fine Fabrics Identification. Advanced Cleaning Methods & Restoration Techniques Training
