Rapid re-soiling?

The science of cleaning a carpet is similar to washing your hair

When cleaning our hair we use a shampoo to break up dirt and grease. We agitate it in with our finger tips and then wash it away with hot water.

A conditioner is used to neutralise the chemicals. Also to remove any sticky residues that have not been rinsed thoroughly. Which in turn, leaves our hair feeling soft and smelling fresh.

Ph 7 is the key to a longer lasting, cleaner carpet

When hiring a machine or buying products for a domestic carpet cleaning machine, some of the products are not usually ‘neutral’ (ph7). They are not strong enough to break down oily residues. Therefore, will not leave you with with a desired result. So as you can imagine, there’s more to the cleaning process than meets the eye. Otherwise over wetting the carpet could easily happen.

Because there is no neutral (ph7) factor, you have pumped lots of sticky chemicals into your carpet which then attracts soiling to happen, (quite rapidly)! This is why high traffic areas can darken quite quickly after the cleaning process. Usually in about 4 months. When your carpet is dry, rub your finger tips into or across the surface of the carpet. You will feel a slight residue on your finger tips. This is what all the dirt sticks to, so you can see why steam cleaning is a much easier and safer option when it comes to maintaining your carpets.
